Rulings

From the Usurp the Shadow Throne release notes

Ice Aged Oak will trigger when it hits a hero regardless of whether a card with the Ice type was pitched to pay for it.
An equipment zone is exposed if it does not contain any objects and has no permanents equipped to it.
A card with the Ice type must have been pitched to pay the cost of Ice Aged Oak in order to meet the ice bond condition. Playing this using leftover resources that were generated by pitching an Ice card for some other cost is insufficient.

Dominate - An attack that is difficult to defend. Cards with dominate cannot be defended with more than 1 card from the defending hero’s hand.

You can still defend with equipment and defense reactions played from arsenal in addition to up to 1 card from hand.
Playing a defense reaction from your hand counts towards the 1 card from your hand restriction. You cannot defend with a card in your hand then play a defense reaction from your hand.
You can still block with equipment and defense reactions played from arsenal in addition to up to 1 card from hand.
