From the Mastery Pack Warrior release notes
- Drawn to the Blade’s first ability is a targeted ability, which requires a sword in order to be played.
- Drawn to the Blade’s second ability evaluates the number of +1
counters on the target at the time Drawn to the Blade resolves. This includes but is not limited to +1
counters from sharpen effects. It will only grant the additional effect if it meets this threshold at the time of resolution. - Removing a +1
counter from an attacking sword to pay for an ability cost will not cause layer-continuous effects that are conditioned on the number of +1
counters to stop applying (e.g. Drawn to the Blade). However, this may cause static continuous effects (e.g. Durendal) that are conditioned to stop applying if the number of counters no longer meet the required totals.
Keyword notes
Sharpen - Put a +1{p} counter on the object. Remove all +1{p} counters from that object at the end of turn.
- Sharpen is a new effect keyword available on some cards in Compendium of Rathe.
- Sharpen is a discrete effect and a delayed-triggered effect. When you are instructed to sharpen, you will put a +1
counter on the targeted object or object specified after the sharpen keyword. At the end of the same turn you sharpened that object, sharpen’s delayed triggered effect triggers. You will remove all +1
counters on the sharpened object when that triggered effect resolves - When resolving Sharpen’s triggered effect, you will remove not only the +1
counter put on the object by the Sharpen effect, but all other +1
counters on the object are removed as well. All other counters remain on that object. - Non-sharpen effects that put +1
on an object do not count for the purposes of determining if an object was sharpened. - Resolving a sharpened effect on an object results in that object having been sharpened for the purposes of cards and effects.
- When resolving a sharpen effect, if you are unable to put a +1
counter on the object, it will still count as having been sharpened. (This is similar to intimidating an opponent with an empty hand). - An object can have +1
counters and -1
counters at the same time. Adding +1
counters to an object that already has -1
counters does not cancel the existing token out.
Go again - Go again allows multiple actions to be played in a turn when usually playing an action with use up your action point, and therefore end your turn. A card with go again gives the controller of that card or activated ability 1 action point when it resolves.
- When an action with go again resolves, its controller gains 1 action point.
- Multiple instances of go again on the same card or activated ability do not stack. If a card or activated ability has multiple instances of go again when it resolves its controller gains 1 action point only.
- If an action with go again does not resolve, its controller does not gain 1 action point.
- You cannot reveal a card with no
to Belittle. The card must have a value to its power that is 3 or less. (0 is a value)
