Doubling Season’s replacement effect will not apply to power increases from + counters.
Effects that increase power are applied as events. This effect modifies that event (and thus the result of the effect) to increase the power by an additional 1.
This effect increases ALL instances of effects that increase power, not just the first. If two or more effects would increase the power of Doubling Season by 1, then each of those effects instead increase the power by 2.
Effects that apply when Doubling Season is played and on the stack (e.g. Come to Fight) will be affected by its ability.
Effects that set or decrease power are not modified by Doubling Season’s effect (e.g. -2 would not become -1).
If an effect that was modified by Doubling Season were to no longer apply to an attack, but then is re-applied to that attack later, the application of Doubling Season’s replacement effect on that particular effect would be lost and no longer modify it when it is reapplied.
