Deep Recesses of Existence’s second ability triggers when the combat chain closes. This is an optional effect: you choose whether or not to banish this card face-down. If you banish a card face-down this way, then for each hero who has lost this turn, you will banish a card from each of those heroes’ graveyards beginning with you then moving clockwise around the table.
Neither player receives priority during the close step of combat.

Keyword notes

Rune Gate - If you control Runechants equal to or greater than THIS’s {r} cost, you may play it from your banished zone without paying its {r} cost.

Rune gate is a play-static ability keyword.
Unless otherwise specified by another effect, you may play cards with rune gate as normal from your hand and arsenal by paying its resource cost.
When you play a card using rune gate, it must be done by playing it from the banished zone while it is face-up. You can not rune gate a card from hand or arsenal.
When you rune gate a card, its resource cost to play is set to 0 and then any effects that increase and then decrease resource costs are applied. E.g. if you have a Frostbite, you would still have to pay to rune gate a card.

Blood Debt - Blood Debt is a new keyword existing on Shadow cards. Shadow cards can inflict a loss of life to access a greater power. At the end of your turn, you lose 1{h} for each blood debt card in your banished zone.

You only lose life at the end phase. Players do not have priority during the end phase.
If you have multiple cards with blood debt, you lose 1 for each instance of blood debt at the end of turn.
Only face-up cards banished with blood debt counts and will lose you . Face-down banished cards have no effects or stats.
