Rulings
From the Compendium of Rathe release notes
- Speed Demon’s second ability is functional when it’s in the arena and attacking on the combat chain. It generates a continuous effect that is always checking. If you control a Hyper Driver, it will get +1
. If you control a Hyper Driver when this attacks, then you lose it, this will lose the +1
. - You do not control Hyper Drivers that are sub-cards under objects you control in the arena.
- If a Hyper Driver comes under your control during the damage step and causes the if-conditional effect to become active, it will get the +1
from controlling it but the damage will not be recalculated. - Speed Demon’s second ability is not functional while defending.
- Speed Demon’s third ability triggers when it resolves and becomes an attacking card. Whether or not you scrapped a Hyper Driver as part of paying this card’s Scrap additional cost is checked when the triggered effect resolves. If you did, you will create a Hyper Driver token with 2 steam counters.
