From the Mastery Pack Warrior release notes
- To activate Paragon Plate’s activated ability, you must remove an +1
from an attacking sword you control of your choice that is currently on the combat chain. This can be an attacking sword on the active chain link or previous chain link. The sword must be on the chain link to be chosen in this way. - Removing a +1
counter from an attacking sword to pay for this ability’s cost will not cause layer-continuous effects that are conditioned on the number of +1
counters to stop applying (e.g. Drawn to the Blade). However, this may cause static-continuous effects (e.g. Durendal) that are conditioned to stop applying if the number of counters no longer meet the required totals.
Keyword notes
Temper - Temper is a new keyword that exists on equipment in Crucible of War. Usually high in defense, Temper equipment presents a choice when it is down to 1{d}, of whether to defend with it one last time and see it destroyed, or save it to use for its ability.
- If the equipment gains a -1
in a different way other than defending, it would not be destroyed even if it has 0
.
