Nekria

Nekria

Whenever Nekria deals or is dealt damage, put a -1life counter on her and create an Ash token.

Rulings

From the Uprising release notes
  • Nekria is considered to have dealt damage when a damage event created by Nekria (such as an attack) causes a loss of life on a living object (e.g. a hero or ally). Nekria does not deal damage if its attack is fully defended.
  • Nekria is considered to have been dealt damage if a damage event causes Nekria to lose life. This can be done with any type of damage (e.g. physical, arcane, untyped).
  • Adding a -1life counter to Nekria, reduces its life total. If you deal 6 damage to full life Nekria, then add a -1life counter to it, it dies.
  • -1life counters are not removed at the end of the turn when Allies life totals are reset. If Nekria has two -1life counters on it, its life total will be 5 when it resets at the end of the turn (7 base life – 2 from counters).
  • Nekria’s triggered effect still triggers (and creates an Ash) even if the damage dealt kills it.
