- Smelting of the Old Ones’ Crush ability triggers when it deals 4 or more damage to a Guardian hero. You will destroy all equipment they control with -1 counters when this triggered effect resolves (e.g. non-defending equipment, defending equipment, non-permanent equipment).
- When resolving the Crush triggered effect, if you destroy defending equipment cards with -1 counters after the damage of the attack has been calculated during Smelting of the Old Ones’ damage step, damage dealt from the attack will not be recalculated.
Keyword notes
Crush - A guardian mechanic that showcases the strength of the guardian. When an attack with crush deals 4 or more damage to a hero, an effect is applied.
- Crush only checks the amount of damage dealt to the hero. Prevented damage does not count.
- Crush is not optional, if the card does 4 or more damage, the effect will apply.
- Crush is a (conditional) hit effect.
Heave X - At the beginning of your end phase, if this is in your hand and you have an empty arsenal zone, you may pay X and put this face up into your arsenal. If you do, create X Seismic Surge tokens.
- Heave is a hidden triggered ability. The card must be be shown when the triggered effect is triggered for its effect to resolve.
- Heave triggers during the end phase of a turn. There is no priority in the phase to respond to Heave’s triggered layer.
- You cannot use heave from arsenal. Heave can only be used from hand.
- You do not need to play the card you heaved the following turn.
- If you decide to pay the cost, both the costs must be paid in full. You must pay the resource cost AND put the source card face up into an empty arsenal zone; you can not pay just one or the other.
- You cannot heave if you don’t have an empty arsenal zone.
