Gear Turner (Red)

Gear Turner triggers when it hits (e.g. heroes or allies). This is an optional effect: You choose whether or not to search your deck for a card with the cog subtype when this triggered effect resolves. You will put that cog into the arena and then you shuffle your deck.

When resolving Gear Turner’s triggered effect, there is no priority between any of the effects generated (e.g. searching, putting into the arena, shuffling).

Cards that are put directly into the arena as permanents have still entered the arena for the purposes of identity-replacement effects (e.g. Copper Cogs entering with 2 steam counters,) as well as for abilities like Crank.

If you choose to search your deck for a card with the cog subtype, you can fail to find a cog even if you still have one in your deck. Nothing is put into the arena; however, you will still shuffle your deck afterwards.
